Austria: Lavrov arrives on Iran deadline day in Vienna
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Vienna, Tuesday, for the "deadline day" in the latest round of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 powers. The self-imposed deadline, however, is unlikely to be kept to, with all parties focussed on the achievements made thus far and not on what has yet to be achieved.
Foreign ministers from China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States are meeting in the Austrian capital from June 26 to July 1, in order to reach an agreement that would relieve Iran from international sanctions in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear programme.
