      France: Far-right stage 'Day Against Immigration' demo in Calais

      Far-right activists staged a "day against immigration" demonstration in Calais on Saturday. Protesters held banners with slogans such as "Calais city clean, dirtied by immigration."

      The event was organised in part by the group 'Saving Calais,' with organisation leader Kevin Reche calling the migrants and refugees in Calais "harmful" to society and "aggressive."

      The number of migrants and refugees in Calais has risen to over 2,500 in 2015, with many attempting to seek asylum in the United Kingdom.
