
Slovakia: Large parts of EU population want Russia sanctions decreased - Pew Research
"Twenty-nine percent of the Germans and 25 percent of the French" would like to lessen sanctions on Russia, explained Bruce Stokes, the director of global economic attitudes at Pew Research Centre, during a presentation at the Global Security Conference in Bratislava on Saturday. Stokes emphasised that these are "not insignificant minorities."
The Pew Centre director went on to say that the issue of sanctions on Russia "is not totally resolved" in many countries.
The 10th annual Global Security Conference opened on June 19 and will run till June 21.
