
Iraq: Coalition airstrikes batter IS positions at Baiji oil refinery
Iraqi military and coalition forces destroyed several Islamic State (IS, formally ISIS/ISIL) positions by means of airstrike at the Baiji oil refinery in northern Iraq on Friday, June 19.
The Iraqi Ministry of Defence footage, released on Saturday, shows the strikes on one of the country's largest oil refineries which has been a strategic point of fighting between IS militants and Iraqi forces.
There have been reports that many IS fighters were held up inside the building before the strike.
