Russia: KRET unveils 'President-S' defence system at Army-2015 expo

Russian company KRET claimed at the Army-2015 expo near Moscow on Thursday that it is on the brink of creating a machine that in its own way will change the world.

One of the KRET company representatives says it has developed practically the entire complex of on-board radio-electronic equipment for the fifth generation of fighter jets. Vladimir Mikheev remarked that new systems that are currently being put together will have no parallels in the world.

The so-called airborne Defence System President-S was designed to protect the aircraft from being hit by missiles, air defence and anti-aircraft artillery systems. It does this by detecting the existence of a threat in time for the fighter jet to counter attack.

Among the other items on show were the airborne radar M-025 and the laser guidance system-296.
