Russia: Putin gets sneak preview of Moscow State Art Gallery expo
Russian President Vladimir Putin was shown around a new exhibition at the Moscow State Art Gallery of Ilya Glazunov, Tuesday by the People's Artist of Russia award winner Ilya Glazunov himself.
On the eve of Glazunov's 85th birthday, the artist led the president around the museum which he has curated.
The exhibition is only expected to open in October but Putin was afforded a sneak preview of the many paintings and iconography and manuscripts.
The idea of the exhibition is to put on show the evolution of Russian culture through the ages.
