Serbia: Josip Broz Tito's birthday commemorated by hundreds
Several hundred gathered at the tomb of the former-president of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito, the House of Flowers, in Belgrade on Monday to commemorate his birthday.
Admirers of the revolutionary brought flowers to the tomb, carried flags of Yugoslavia and wore caps and scarves bearing the symbol of the Union of Pioneers of Yugoslavia.
The celebrations took place in remembrance of Youth Day, formerly celebrated on May 25, when young men and women from across Yugoslavia marched with batons as a gift to Tito and a symbol of commitment to his achievements.
