UK: Londoners rally outside US embassy in solidarity with Baltimore protesters
Protesters staged a rally in front of the US embassy in London, Tuesday, in solidarity with the residents of Baltimore who have been demonstrating for the past two weeks against police violence and racial discrimination.
Activists showed their solidarity with the family and friends of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old who died after sustaining severe injuries while in police custody in Baltimore. The British rapper Akala made a speech and commemorated the victims of police violence with a moment of silence.
Several groups took part in the rally including the United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC), Defend the Right to Protest, NUS Black Students' Campaign and the Cole Family Truth Campaign.
