
USA: Police seize puppies dangerously attached to car roof
Police in Akron, Ohio, stopped and seized four puppies that were discovered in a cage strapped to the roof of a speeding van during a 300 mile trip, Friday.
An officer spotted the SUV and stopped the driver in the eastbound lanes, near the Gilchrist Road exit, after multiple callers dialled 911 to complain about the dogs' condition.
A Mennonite family with four children less than six years old were on a long distance trip before the driver promptly signed the dogs over to the police, who were taken to the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron.
