
Russia: See the first cavalry guard change of 2015
The Formal Infantry and Horse Guard Mounting Parade of the Presidential Regiment took place for the first time in 2015 on the Cathedral Square in Moscow on Saturday.
Presidential Regiment troops of the Special Guard, the Cavalry Escort of Honour and the Presidential Orchestra took part in the ceremony. The program included a special arms drills, a horse carousel and a musical performance. The changing of guards will take place around 20 times from April to October outside Dormition Cathedral.
The Presidential Regiment is a special unit, which ensures the security of the Kremlin and guards the highest state officials. It reports directly to the President of Russia.
