USA: Five bodies found in Phoenix home after family dispute turns deadly
Five adults were found dead in a house in Phoenix, Thursday, after police responded to a call regarding a family dispute that had turned violent.
Initial reports suggest that one family member shot four of his relatives before turning the gun on himself after an argument about the family’s transportation business escalated into violence. The names of the deceased have not yet been released, however according to local police, three brothers, their mother and the wife of one of the brothers were all killed in the incident. Two women and two children managed to escape and notify the police. When police arrived at the scene they tried to communicate with the residents of the home, however after an hour long standoff gunshots were reportedly heard inside the property.
It is not clear how many people had fired shots during the dispute, but police are currently not looking for any other suspects in connection with the shooting. The women and children who escaped the home were unharmed.
