Bahrain: See anti-Yemen airstrike protesters turn streets into FLAMES
Protesters set fire to plastic containers doused in petrol in the wealthy village of Saar, Friday, sending huge plumes of thick smoke into the sky in protest against the current Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen.
The protest was organised in the small town just west of the Bahraini capital of Manama, known for being home to ambassadors, expatriates and rich Bahrainis.
The Saudi Arabian government says it is carrying out the airstrikes in order to attack Houthi militias and reinstate the government of President Hadi, who fled to Saudi Arabia last week.
Currently, 519 people have been killed in the conflict in Yemen and another 1,700 people have been wounded according to the UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos.
