Brazil: Explosions cause huge fire at chemical plant

Firefighters rushed to a chemical plant owned by Ultracargo in Santos near Sao Paulo after an explosion of ethanol and gasoline tanks at the complex, Thursday. Flames from the fire could be seen for miles around.

Local newspapers reported that the fire started at around 10 am local time (1 pm GMT) and that there had been dozens of explosions.

At least 80 firefighters are at the scene of the incident.
