      Hundreds of adrenaline junkies gathered in San Bernardino, California on Sunday to take part in Tough Mudder, a team-oriented 10-12 mile (16-19 km) obstacle course designed to test the physical and mental strength of participants.

      The brainchild of two British Harvard Business School graduates, the Tough Mudder obstacle course often uses fire, water, electricity and heights.

      Dubbed by some media outlets as America's 'toughest' obstacle course, one San Bernardino participant said that the event was about "doing it with your friends" and claimed that "anyone can do it".
