Germany: See the vigil dedicated to Germanwings crash child victims

A candle-lit vigil has been set up outside the Joseph-Koenig Gymnasium high school in Haltern-am-See, Tuesday, where 16 schoolchildren aboard the Germanwings flight 4U 9525 were studying. All 16 schoolchildren were about 15 years old.

Two teachers from the school also died when the plane went down. The head of the high school has suspended all classes and sent students home.

The Airbus 320 went down between Digne and Barcelonnette in Southern France en route from Barcelona to Duesseldorf. 144 passengers, two pilots and four cabin crew members were on board the plane when it crashed, all of whom are believed to have died in the crash.
