
Russia: 'Two suspects in Boris Nemtsov assassination arrested' - FSB chief
Two suspects in the murder of Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov were arrested Saturday, Alexander Bortnikov, the chief of the Federal Security Service (FSB) reported in Moscow on Saturday afternoon.
The suspects were identified as Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadayev, who are both from the southern region of the North Caucasus. The case is currently being investigated by a special task force that includes the police, the FSB and the Investigative Committee of Russia, Bortnikov added.
Russia's opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was gunned down on a bridge over the Moscow River near the Kremlin, as he was returning home with his female companion Anna Duritskaya on Friday, February 27. After hitting Nemtsov four times into his back, the shooter reportedly fled in a waiting getaway car.
