
India: Leopard CHOKED to death, paraded through village as trophy
A group of villages paraded the carcass of a leopard through their settlement in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, Thursday, after suffocating the animal to death.
Two leopards reportedly entered the village in Pulwama district, with villagers chasing down one of the animals. They proceeded to kill the leopard, and then pass its body through a large crowd that had assembled in the rural settlement.
The second leopard is reportedly still at large, hiding somewhere in the village.
