Germany: 'No TTIP!' A huge trojan horse inflated outside the SPD's HQ
Around 50 protesters rallied in front of the SPD headquarters in Berlin on Monday to protest against the planned Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
German Minister for Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel met the new EU Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmstrom, in Berlin in order to discuss the implementation of the free trade agreement between the US and the EU, which catalysed this round of protest.
Demonstrators gathered outside the building and inflated a giant Trojan horse with a 'TTIP' sign and chanted slogans such as 'From Finland to Crete, we demand the end of TTIP.'
