Ukraine: 'We have the right to live independently' - DNR's Zakharchenko
The head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR) Alexander Zakharchenko said the latest Minsk agreement gave the people of Donbass "the right to live independently and with an independent economy." He made the comments during a press conference in Donetsk, Saturday.
Zakharchenko added that parties which had fought against the DNR in the eastern Ukrainian conflict would not be allowed to take part in local elections planned under the Minsk agreement. "They are enemies and punishers," he said.
