
Serbia: FIRESALE! Military equipment up for grabs in Belgrade
A massive array of military equipment went on the market in Belgrade Wednesday, with the Serbian Ministry of Defence announcing the sale of some 480 tanks and howitzers, 220 armoured vehicles and more than 20,000 rifles and pistols.
A massive 282 T-55 tanks were up for sale, as well as 220 armoured personnel carriers, including M-60s, M-80s, BTR-50s and BTR-60s.
The ministry are also offering around 16,700 7.65-millimetre pistols, some 3,500 M-70 automatic rifles, 120,000 grenades and over 1,500 missiles. Around 1,100 anti-aircraft guns and over 5,400 hand-held rocket launchers, mortars and recoilless rifles are also available.
The Serb Ministry announced the sale via their website and will be selling to a variety of legally entitled parties.
