UK: 'Frack off'- Anti-fracking protest held outside Parliament
Hundreds of anti-fracking protesters demonstrated outside the Houses of Parliament in London, Monday as MPs gathered inside to vote on the future of the UK's shale gas industry.
The activists organised an 'emergency rally' to contest the government's Infrastructure Bill, which could see landowners stripped of their right to prevent fracking beneath their homes.
The protest came as members of the Environmental Audit Committee attempted to amend the Infrastructure Bill to bring about a halt to fracking in the UK.
Celebrity British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and human rights advocate Bianca Jagger addressed supporters at the event.
