
Germany: Russia and Germany strike agriculture deals after exports drop 23 percent
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Green Week Fair in Berlin Friday, the Russian Agricultural Minister Nikolai Fyodorov announced that Germany and Russia have agreed a number of deals, despite the sanctions against Russia.
Both Schmidt and the Russian Agricultural Minister Nikolai Fyodorov stated that they will continue their joint efforts to create opportunities in the future to increase the exchange of goods, after German agricultural exports fell by twenty 23 percent or $500 million (€432.5 million) since August 2014.
Fyodorov stated that Russia is open to cooperation, mutual investment and negotiations to normalise relations between the countries.
