Pakistan: 'Kouachi brothers, long live!' Funeral honours Charlie Hebdo shooters
A religious political party in Peshawar held a funeral in absentia for the deceased Charlie Hebdo shooters Cherif and Said Kouachi on Tuesday.
Led by Pir Muhammad Chishti, a provincial head of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), the funeral procession chanted prayers and held banners honouring the brothers.
Chishti made an address asking God to "destroy those who enjoy mentally torturing Muslims and those who support this."
Cherif and Said Kouachi were both killed on Friday when police stormed a printing plant in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele where the brothers were holding hostages.
The brothers were the prime suspects in the attack on the Charlie Hebdo headquarters that left 12 people dead on January 7.
