Sudan: 'Unwanted intervention harmful to Africa' - Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in Khartoum, Wednesday that African and Middle Eastern countries needed space to develop without unwanted outside intervention.
Lavrov said that since the start of the 'Arab Spring' Russia had supported the wishes of those African and Middle Eastern states which had 'aspirations for a better life'. But he said that it was necessary to solve internal problems within the states without external interference.
Russia's top diplomat was in the east African country for the Russian-Arab Co-operation Forum.
