
Spain: Anti-Catalan independence protesters arrested in Girona
Anti-independence protesters who had stormed a polling station in Girona were arrested by local police on Sunday.
Masked men had entered the station with screams of "Viva Espana" while voters waited to take part in an informal poll on the independence of Catalonia.
Prior to being detained by police, one of the attackers was tackled by voters while the rest attempted to run away from the scene.
