Russia: Total plane crash snow-plough driver 'lost bearings'

The snow-plough driver involved in Monday night's deadly plane crash at Moscow's Vnukovo airport said he lost his bearings before a collision with a private plane carrying Total CEO Christophe de Margerie. He made the comments during a discussion with his lawyer in Moscow Wednesday.

Alexander Karabanov met with the driver Vladimir Martinenko and asked him key questions concerning the incident. Martinenko recounted his experience, describing how he drove onto the runway after losing his bearing before the plane hit his vehicle.

The business jet crashed at Vnukovo International Airport just before midnight Monday claiming the lives of four people including the boss of French multinational oil company Total Christophe de Margerie.
