
Liberia: World Food Program dispatches aid in fight against Ebola
World Food Program (WFP) workers continued to dispatch equipment, medical supplies, food and generators in an effort to combat Ebola in Monrovia, Monday.
WFP set up emergency treatment units a few weeks ago, which are “already running at full stretch” according to the WFP spokesperson, Martin Penner. From the capital city the supplies are dispatched by aid workers to smaller sites throughout Liberia.
According to the latest WHO figures 4,555 people have died of Ebola since the recent outbreak, while 9,216 are currently suffering from the disease.
