
Spain: "A democratic Spain should act like UK" Artur Mas rallies indy ref fervour
Hundreds of supporters of Catalan President Artur Mas' Convergencia party gathered for a massive lunch in Manresa on Saturday to voice their will for the independence referendum scheduled for November 9 to take place.
Following lunch, Mas referred to the UK as an example of how a democratic state should act, by allowing people to decide their own fate.
The Catalan President also accused the Spanish government of acting undemocratically by refusing to "sit, negotiate" with the Catalan independence movement.
