Polish: New NATO chief visits Poland, promises "spearhead force" to deal with "threats"

The new NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg visited Warsaw in response to Poland's perceived security concerns, Monday.

Prime Minister Eva Kopacz and Stoltenberg gave a press conference after the meeting, in which he reassured Kopazc that NATO will maintain a continuous security presence in eastern Europe. The former Norwegian Prime Minister discussed NATO's actions in the country, saying the organisation's troops "stand ready to deal with any threats."

Stoltenberg replaced Anders Fogh Rasmussen as NATO chief on October 1.
