USA: ‘Ukraine MH17 case not transparent,' says Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed a dim view about the Ukrainian authorities' handling of the MH17 investigation in an interview with RT in New York on Saturday.
Lavrov explained that while self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic forces invited international monitors to the crash site immediately after the UN Security Council's call for an independent investigation, Kiev authorities argued the need to clear the site of “separatists and terrorists” and allowed access some 10 days later.
