Iraq: Iraqi Air Force show off their arsenal in Baghdad
Iraqi Air Forces showed of their newly acquired Russian modern aircraft, the MI28 hunter and MI35 and combat aircraft Sukhoi 25 in Baghdad on Sunday. Proving their efficiency and high capacity monitoring and tracking.
The Mi-28s are Russian designed all-weather, day and night, military tandem, two-seat anti-armor attack helicopters, carrying a single gun in an undernose barbette, plus external loads carried on pylons beneath stub wings. The Mi-24 is a large gunship and attack helicopter with room for eight passengers.
The Sukhoi Su-25 is twin engine, single-seat jet plane that was developed in the Soviet Union by the Sukhoi Design Bureau to provide close air support for the Soviet Ground Forces. All versions of the Su-25 hold a metal cantilever wing, of moderate sweep and high aspect ratio, and are equipped with high-lift devices.
