Ukraine: These kid soldiers hope to be Ukrainian Army's next recruits
A group of children aged 2 to 10-years-old belonging to Sokol, Ukraine’s first kids battalion, paraded in the village of Novitsa, in west Ukraine’s Ivano-Frankivsk region on Sunday.
The child recruits gather daily in the village centre and sing the Ukrainian anthem, folk songs and raise money for fellow villagers serving in the Ukrainian Army. The children have also received handwritten papers calling them to service, confirming their membership in the kids battalion.
The battalion was formed by the head of the village council.
