Estonia: "US airstrikes into Iraq have borne fruit" says Obama
US President Barack Obama visited Tallinn on Wednesday to meet with his counterpart Toomas Ilves ahead of participating in the NATO summit in Wales September 4-5.
Obama made comments on his decision to conduct airstrikes on Iraq which began in August 2014, citing that they are in "support" of "protecting" Americans working in the country for humanitarian missions.
The US leader also asserted the military actions have "borne fruit" by helping provide "space" for the Iraqi government, giving the example of the formation of a Sunni-Shia-Kurd central government.
Obama proceeded to say it will take time to "roll back" ISIS and to be able to form a regional coalition in Iraq.
