State of Palestine: Hundreds mourn the Abu Dahroug family, killed by F-16 strike
Hundreds of Palestinians gathered Saturday for the funeral of three citizens who were killed last night by an Israeli strike on their home in the al-Zawayda region of the Gaza Strip. Hayel Abu Dahroug and his wife Huda were killed in the bombing alongside their relative Hayat Abu Dahroug. The family home was completely destroyed, with surrounding buildings also severely damaged.
The strike was carried out by the Israeli airforce who executed a missile strike from an F-16 jet. Reports state that the damage to the building has prevented emergency services from clearing the rubble and debris, where it is believed other casualties could be trapped. The corpses of the deceased were carried through the streets before they were buried in a traditional ceremony.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip now stands at 2,095 since Israel's assault began.
