      The damage from the ongoing bombardment by Ukrainian military forces could be seen throughout Lugansk on Tuesday. Debris from shelling littered the streets alongside burnt out vehicles. The shelling of Lugansk reportedly continued throughout Tuesday.

      In the city centre people queued for humanitarian aid being given out at a building under the control of the Lugansk People's Republic. One local waiting for aid said that "old men and women who are scared to go out on the streets for food."

      Residents believe that around 200,000 people remain in the city, with many seeking shelter from the shelling in their basements.
