      Orthodox Christians marking the Feast of the Transfiguration sought the blessings of peace amid the shelling attacks while attending church in Donetsk, Tuesday. Residents were reportedly joined by some members of the forces fighting against the Ukrainian army, who apparently put 'faith before fighting' for a day.

      The Feast of the Transfiguration is one of the twelve main Orthodox holidays, whereupon the faithful take fruit to be blessed in honour of the harvest. The act is sacred and done in the faith that the next year will yield a better harvest.
