State of Palestine: Gazans count bodies as Israel strikes UN school *GRAPHIC*
Gazans mourned over the bodies of 20 Palestinians killed by Israeli shelling and air strikes on the U.N. run Jabalya Girls Elementary School in Jabalya, Gaza's biggest refugee camp, Wednesday.
The IDF launched a dawn raid on the Jabalya area of northern Gaza, sheltering around 3,300 Palestinians. The bodies were taken to the morgue and bound in white cloth in Islamic ritual. The attack marked the sixth time a UN school in Gaza has been targeted by the IDF, according to UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness.
The total death toll for Palestinians now stands at over 1,200, with the UNRWA estimating over 167,000 Palestinians are currently staying in the organisation's schools and buildings.
