Heavy flooding hit Recife as Germany kicked off against the USA in a World Cup match in the Brazilian city, Thursday.
The heavy downpours caused chaos in the city as traffic on several roadways ground to a halt.
Despite concerns that the game may not go ahead, FIFA declared the city's Arena Pernambuco playable and Germany beat the USA 1-0 at the venue.
