The chapel of Seraphim of Sarov church in Cherevkovka, located in the eastern area of Slavyansk, was severely damaged from artillery fire, reportedly by pro-Kiev forces.
The closest People's Militia checkpoint is located some 200 metres from the church.
The church's chapel, dining room, fence and the road outside of the building was all hit during the attack. Another two shells damaged one of the city's main bridges that connects the main part of the Slavyansk with Cherevkovka district.
