Switzerland: Protesters attack FIFA HQ
Around 50 Anti-FIFA protesters attacked the organisation's HQ in Zurich on Saturday to protest the organisation's perceived capitalist exploitation of football, according to the group's representative.
The protest, organised by local anti-capitalist movement Aufbau.org also marched in solidarity with protesters across Brazil, the host country of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Protesters launched fireworks and rubber bullet canisters at the HQ's entrance, flanked by police lines. Masked protesters spray-painted the organisations entrance boards, threw paint over logos, painted the ground with slogans and removed a street sign saying "FIFA Street". Protesters also delivered a small homemade 'favella' to the entrance of the HQ with 'Fuck FIFA' written on it.
