
Ukraine: Nine missing after Donbass mine explosion
Nine miners were missing after a mine explosion shook the town of Kirovsk, in the Donetsk Region, on Thursday. The workers were left trapped after methane gas exploded at a depth of the 300 meters below the ground.
Four units of emergency service of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine are deployed at the site.
The mine is currently out of service. Search and rescue operations for the miners are in progress.
