UK: Nigel Farage says UKIP has no friends
UK: Farage compares UKIP to Gandhi
The UK Independence Party (UKIP) is 'essentially friendless politically', UKIP leader Nigel Farage said Tuesday in London. His words came as he spoke to supporters ahead of European Parliament elections due to take place May 25. Farage quoted Mahatma Gandhi, when referring to attacks on UKIP, when saying "first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you".
Farage added that detractors have often called UKIP supporters a variety of insults, and that he predicted the European Parliament elections would result in an "earthquake" in British politics.
