      France: Police break up jubilant Saint Germain celebrations

      Chaos broke out on the streets of Paris on Wednesday evening, as Paris Saint Germain supporters celebrated retaining the French title despite losing 2-1 to Rennes.

      Rowdy football fans rocketed fireworks across the Champ Elysees and threw potted plants at police, who proceeded to detain several fans.

      The win secured the team's second consecutive Ligue 1 title, which was achieved with two games to spare.
