      Ukraine: Bomb scare spooks Mariupol

      Police were on high alert after receiving a phone call suggesting a bomb had been planted in a residential building opposite the occupied City Council building in Mariupol, Friday.

      Police, firefighters and other emergency services units were deployed in front of the building, as police conducted a search of the premises.

      It has not been officially confirmed whether police have discovered a bomb in the building or are holding suspects. Local traffic in the area was blocked for a short period while the search was carried out.

      Ukraine: Bomb scare spooks Mariupol
