Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on a personal level to an audience in Moscow on Thursday. His words came as part of his annual televised marathon question-and-answer session with the public.

Putin answered viewers' questions concerning his favourite film, how long he sleeps and whether he thinks US President Barack Obama would save him if he were drowning.

This year, a free phone line has been opened to residents living in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
