Germany: Giant rodents flood the town of Halle
Large nutria, which looks like a mix between a rat and beaver, are flooding the city of Halle in Germany and were in abundance, Wednesday.
The swamp like rodents were brought to Germany at the beginning of the eighteenth century from South America for the fur and food industry. Locals are used to the sight, with one man Georg Butow saying that at the seaside, people expect to see seagulls; in Halle, people expect to see nutrias.
