Various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were on display at the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR) at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre, Tuesday.
The Sniper rotorcraft UAV by Everis Autospace and Defence was on show. The Sniper can operate in both military and civil missions such as target acquisition, tracking, fire detection, homeland security and border surveillance. It has a speed range of 19 metres per second (62 ft) and can operate for around three hours. The price is around €250,00 ($345,000).
Also on display was the Scrab-II, also by Everis, which is an aerial target turbojet. The twin-jet engine provides high performance at very high speed and is sold for €200,000 ($275,000).
The Aunav.NEXT by Proytecsa demanded attention with its two robotic arms, both mounted on a turret with a 360 degree angular rotation. It has a lifting power of 100 kgs (220 Ibs) with an extended arm, and 200 kgs (441lbs) with the arm folded. The price of a fully equipped robot with two arms is around €450,000 ($620,000).
The submarine Alister 9 portable goes up to 300 metres (984 ft) deep and is used for seafloor pictures. It also does Rapid Environment Assessment (REA) and mine counter measures, the price is currently unspecified.
