      The increasingly popular Bitcoin currency is used widely by customers at SXSW, an annual music, film, and interactive conference and festival held in Austin from March 7-16.

      Exhibitors from several companies display "Bitcoin accepted here" signs proudly, taking orders from customers paying in the virtual currency.

      Firms such as CloudDashing, Bitcoin Magazine and BitPay are also offering their services to help other companies at the event help implement the new currency in their business.
