Russia: Paralympic torch races through Moscow

The Sochi 2014 Paralympic flame arrived in the Russian capital on Sunday, with the Moscow stage of the torch relay beginning at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, passing through Moscow State University and Sparrow Hills and concluding at the Luzhniki Olympic stadium.

Paralympic swimmer Andrey Meshcheryakov became the first torchbearer for the Moscow stage of the relay. After him 120 torchbearers, including Paralympic athletes, famous musicians and actors, have helped the flame to complete the 21-kilometre route around the city.

The torch relay will conclude on March 7 at the opening of the Sochi Paralympics at the Fisht Stadium.
