The local governor of Lutsk, Alexander Bashkalenko, was handcuffed to a stage in front of a crowd of about 10,000 people after being publicly humiliated by protesters in the North Western Ukrainian city, Wednesday.
Protesters stormed the regional police office Wednesday afternoon, dragging the Volyn Governor from his office and forcing him to his knees to chants of "shame." After refusing to sign his resignation the governor was taken by a group of organised fighters to the local police station.
